Why convert AVIF to JPG?
AVIF trades compatibility for efficiency, and outside a web browser that trade often goes the wrong way. Upload forms reject it, older phones cannot preview it, print shops have never heard of it. JPG sits at the opposite end: not the most efficient format available, but the one with essentially universal support. Choose JPG over PNG here when the image is a photograph and you want it to stay reasonably small, and choose PNG instead if you need transparency or plan to edit it further.

FAQ
Will the JPG be bigger than the AVIF?
Almost certainly, often two to three times. AVIF is the more efficient format; you are converting for compatibility and paying for it in file size.
What if the AVIF has transparency?
JPG cannot store it, so transparent areas become white. Use the AVIF-to-PNG converter when transparency matters.
Is my image uploaded anywhere?

What is the maximum file size?
There's no hard limit — it depends on your device's memory. Most photos under 50 MB convert in under a second.
What happens to transparency in PNG / WEBP?
JPG does not support transparency. Transparent pixels are filled with white in the converted JPG. If you need transparency, use the JPG-to-PNG or WEBP-to-PNG converters instead.
